Less than two months have passed since James Gunn's latest DC Superhero reboot, Superman, landed in theatres. The movie received plenty of praise thanks to great performances, a joyful adventure backed by the lovably troublesome Krypto.
Thanks to some social media posts by Gunn and Co. (Corenswet & Hoult), we've been treated to our first look at the upcoming sequel with some great pieces of art starring Superman, and Lex Luthor in his iconic green mech suit. Take a glance at them below.
The posts were captioned with the sequel's title, Man of Tomorrow, and a release date of July 9th 2027. Given the film's success, many were likely expecting news on the sequel, although perhaps not so soon or via coordinated social media posts. It's exciting to know that Superman and Lex will be back in theatres so soon, that is assuming the two don't appear in any other DC projects between then.
Currently, the DCU continues to shine with the highly rated season 2 of Peacemaker making the rounds, while Clark's Kryptonian cousin is gearing up for her solo adventure next year in 2026's retitled Supergirl.
How do you feel about the artwork? Are you excited for more of Corenswet's Superman and Hoult's Lex? Let me know in the comments below.
