It was just over two years ago that Rockstar released the PlayStation 4/Nintendo Switch port of their beloved Western open-world adventure title, Red Dead Redemption. Now the studio has unveiled a brand new version of the game heading to current-gen consoles and mobile on December 2nd.

The current-gen ports will be heading to PlayStation 5, Switch 2, Xbox Series X/S, as well as Netflix and mobile, respectively. The latest version of the game will remain single-player only, but will include the highly praised Undead Nightmares DLC alongside all additional released content.

The free upgrade will see the game run at 60fps with enhanced image quality, HDR support, and support for resolutions up to 4K. The Switch 2 edition will support 60fps, and utilise the hardware to provide optional mouse controls and support for DLSS.

Gamers who already own the 2023 port edition will be able to get the upgrade at no extra cost. The same day the upgrade goes live, Red Dead Redemption will also join the PlayStation Plus catalogue for PlayStation Plus members to enjoy.
